I own a Mark V head and l'm thinking about getting a Triaxis as well. What I'd like to know is if I can use the Triaxis with the Mark V and if it's any good, or do I need to use a separate power amp? Pros and cons?

You can certainly use the Triaxis with the power section of any amp. Should sound great with a Mark V. You could also use a loop switch or HGAS to choose between the Triaxis and Mark V preamp sections to get both the Mark V channels and the Triaxis channels.

Sounds interesting. How do I use only the power section of the Mark V then? Please explain about the loop switch/HGAS set-up.

Plug the out/send of the Triaxis into the "in" of the FX loop of the MarkV. Engage the FX loop on the MarkV and the Triaxis will be driving the power section of the MarkV.
