Whats your favorite Tremolo and why?

Kahler? Floyd Rose? Wilkinson? Any others that you think are awesome?

From my experience, I personally think Floyd Rose is the most gnarly.

ebmm jp6 because its flawless and doesnt suck to to keep in tune

Vintage style strat tremolos, the ones w/ the stamped steel, not the CBS-style cast pot metal ones. My '57 RI Strat rarely goes out of tune...

PRS tremolo. Great stability, but I wish they would up-rout them as a standard option!

Floyd rose style is the most stable with the least amount of effort to get working out of the box IMO. That being said, the only floyd rose type bridge I trust is the Ibanez/Gotoh Edge and lo pro edge.

I think most bridges have the potential to work it's just that some may require more effort than others.

Just installed a Kahler and I have to say it has a lot nicer feel than a Floyd. Just as stable when set up right. What they don't tell you though it that it must be recessed to get proper feel on a strat.

Ibanez Edge Bridge. The original one. It has a really nice feel and some really cool features including post locks, so that the trem posts don't move unless you want them to, a spring lock bar that clamps the springs to the block so that they don't pop off under extreme up pulls/loose spring tension situations, and the tremolo arm has adjustable height as well as the arm itself has bushings that can be installed or removed to allow less/more arm movement once installed in the bridge. It also is the easiest arm to install/remove, by just pushing it in and pulling it straight out of the tremolo unit. I can't wait to get a kahler bridge for my Explorer, and I also installed an OFR on my other RG and it's nice, but it doesn't quite have as many features as the Ibanez Edge.

Absolutely right, nothing beats the Ibanez edge/lo-pro in stability, you only have to tune the guitar whenever you change strings :D
If it doesn't work as good as that, your guitar isn't properly setup.

much love here, for the Kahler Pro.

especially, the newer hybrid model, that allows you to lock it into a hardtail.
best of both.

+1 to the fly trem. That is hands down the best trem i have used out of trying kahlers, floyds, and many other vintage styles.

The parker is rock solid on tuning and i find that the flat spring feels smoother that regular springs. And it is smaller and out of the way compared to a kahler.

Thats my $.02

i love my lopro as much as the next guy but ebmm jp6 bridge is something special. not quite as much range (or at least it feels that way) but it just feels so much better and it stays intune like you dont understand

+1 for the fender vintage trem (also found on 57 reissues)

in combination with sperzel locking tuners, tune only when changing strings

- no lockings on the neck necessary
- palm muting comfort
- amazing sustain still
- string friendly
- easy to maintain

comes together in my ranking with the prs ones
