this amp kills

I've only had the caliber 50+ for two weeks, but its the best amp I've ever owned. more balls than any amp I've ever had too. never going to sell it, my first boogie.

That's great news. I love my first Boogie, a DC-3, for the same reasons, deep, earthy tone. It's just so ballsy, I can hardly believe it. I wasn't too sure about it before I played it because of the el84's but it's got that Mesa tone through and through. I'm gonna keep it forever.

Your 50+ prolly sounds a lot like it, but with more!

Is your .50+ a Combo or Head, EL84's or 6L6's? How would you rate the smoothness of the lead channel?

The plus has 6L6s. I find the Lead sound is very aggressive but smoov-able to a degree with the GEQ.
I think 50 Cals are more jackhammer than velvet glove.
