Im looking at re-tubing the power section in my roadster and am stuck between these 2 tubes. I have heard great things about both. Has anyone every used both of these? The only problems I have heard are the TADs seem to kinda give up
after a while, but sound great new. If any can chime in on this and tell me their experiences with either tube, it would
be very helpful.

Thanks!

My TAD's are about a year old, My buddy's TAD's are around 3 years old and still rocking (he doesn't gig out anymore, though). I have both of the brands in question hear. To my ears the TAD's have better low end and the mids are a bit more aggressive mids. The SED's don't have the low end extension that the TAD's do and the mids are ALOT less aggressive. I play pretty much only metal so the TAD's are where it's at for me.

What tube do you find has a better clean tone?

Hi,

I fit TADs in all my builds. I have yet to find a more consistent and good, strong sounding product, other than NOS valves. I have yet to hear from a dissatisfied customer :)

HTH,
