Stock F-100 combo speaker swap?

Have any of guys that own these ever taken the vintage 30's out and swapped with something else?I mainly play 80's metal,classic rock,and our band has that new/old metal sound.Is there a speaker out there better for this than the V30's in this combo?

As I mentioned on another thread, I seemed to bond with the F-100 on top of greenback-inspired speakers, as opposed to the Vintage 30s in my recto cab. The Vintage 30s seemed a tad 'spikey' to me, while the Eminence Tonker and GB12 seemed to smooth it out. It may well have been that the Emis were well-worn, but to my ears it was a much better experience.

I swapped the V30 in my F-30 out for a C90 and it sounds much better. Less harsh highs and more bottom end...
