I'm currently looking to purchase a stereo 2 one hundred.. I've done some research, but, not gaining much ground.... My current rig is - Triple rectifier, mesa 4x12, mesa 2x12, korg rackmount, ground control pro, GCX switcher, Ashly PQX 571 parametric eq, shure wireless and various boss effects... My main goal is to obtain bone crushing low end while still sounding HUGE!!!..

Will Slaving the stereo 2 into my triple give me more of a devistating sound if i use my parametric to eq the stereo 2??? or will i just be louder with the same tone???

I know this is kinda vague in regards to the sound I'm after, but, I want more!!!!!!

It will definitely be louder, maybe more thump with different tubes. The nice thing about having a separate power amp is you can run it at full volume for really soaked power tubes, and control the overall volume with your preamp. I haven't done this yet, but folks tell me it's cool, and I just hooked up my second Triaxis last night. We shall see.

why not find a bassist with a 5 string bass and a great sounding rig?? :-D

Slaving out to the 2:100 might be ok, but you'd have to split the signal for input A and input B then give the power amp two speakers (A and B).
The Mesa 4x12's can be split to stereo..
I'd think it would more or less just make you loud and be overkill.
The only way you change the sound is if you use cabs with different drivers or something... or as stated above.. using different tubes.
By slaving out.. you are using the same preamp (gain, bass, mid, treble etc) for the 2:100 and the amplifier section of the Triple recto.

I can't imagine a Triple Recto not being loud enough for you though..

*shrug.. what do I know??
