I have a curious little issue with my single recto.

All around the standby switch there is moisture. Its not sticky at all, and wipes off. Its not moisture to the point where is will start beading with water (or what i assume is water) but more like fine condensation.

It started about 1mm around the standby switch. Now its 6mm so its clearly spreading. This is over the space of about a year.

Now i thought it was just creating heat when left on standby (and therefore creating condensation), so i turned it off (the amp AND the wall socket) and it came back/kept spreading.

So now im confused.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Im not so worried yet, the amp works fine. Im just more curious, and slightly concerned.

Does this happen to anyone else's? Is it very common? The dual sitting above it doesn't get this at all.

I will post pictures as soon as i take some.

Thanks
