My IIB came to me with a JBL K120....sounds great for the clean-cleans, but too raspy to my ears for the higher gain settings. I swapped in an Eminence Redcoat Tonker, which sounds pretty good to me, and it can handle 150 watts. I've been reading about the Eminence Delta Pro 12A....can anyone comment on how this speaker might compare to the Tonker? I think I'm gonna order one and A/B test them myself...

The Delta is a good speaker but rather unforgiving on the low end. It will sound flabby if the cathode bypass caps in the IIb aren't fresh and within spec. You might want to try a stiffer speaker such as the Weber Michigan Ceramic 12.

I put an Eminence Delta Pro 12A in my amp this weekend....yup, it's a keeper. Sounds great clean or high gain. Just right.

I like the Eminence Man o War (red coat series) in my Mark II.
Sounds great. 120 watt speaker but it's also very efficient
so it can not only get way loud but sound great getting there.
It's kind of like the Black Shadow C90 but handles more power
and has more balanced mids (which take to EQ'ing nicely for
bumping up or scooping away) and the top and bottom ends
are tighter. Great all around speaker for any style.
