Alright, just curious if this can be solved with a re-tube (or preamp tube(s)) or if it's just how the amp is... Recently bought a Sovtek Tube Midget 50-H, and although it obviously doesnt give off nearly as much gain as my Mesa, the palm mutes, even with gain cranked, sound lifeless...
Is this just the amps gain structure that is holding me back on my chunky palm mutes or can this be fixed with a preamp tube (or ultimately a distortion pedal)? Thanks for the help!
