I built this kit about 3 months ago and need to clear some amps from the music room. If you are familiar with the Marshall Lead/Bass 20 small-box head, this is the clone that Soultone Amps sells as a kit, but with better transformers (Mercury Magnetics) than the Marshall version.
I did put a Marshall logo on the box, but this is NOT a real Marshall head! (Just needed that disclaimer so the lawyers don't come knocking).
I had Bob Dettorre from DST Amps go over the kit after I built it and give it his blessing. He did swap out one resistor to the power tubes because he felt the voltage was too high and would prematurely burn the tubes out.
Comes with EH 12AX7 preamp tubes and JJ EL84 power amp tubes.
Can get very loud for 20-watts, and if you bridge the 2 channels with a short patch cord you can get some serious crank. Perfect as a grab'n'go head if you have a small 1 x12 to take along with it.
Needless to say, the amp is in perfect condition and barely broken in.
These kits sell for $849 plus shipping. I'm selling this pre-built and blessed one for $725 shipped. Would prefer an e-check unless you want to eat the 3% PayPal fee.
I also have a StudioSlips clamshell cover for it if you are interested.
