Sometimes we all need to mic... Suggestions?

PLUS, after reading many articles on it they say it is not good for close mic'ing and is best around 18" from the amp

They were talking about the 44. Which I'll agree with the clean tones it works wonders. The 32 is the poop for a cranked amp...trust me on this!

For clean, jazz, country, blues etc use a KSM 44

Out of the 2 KSMs, the 44 would be me. I like a bluesy just breakin' up overdrive and no distortion. That said, I'd need to play gigs with a KSM44 between my knees
