Solo Switch goes POP

I just picked up a new footswitch for my M-Pulse 600. When I use the solo switch there is a huge popping sound. I only set the solo volume a little higher than the main volume.

Is this normal or should I be contacting customer service?

I can't believe that it's working as intended but I thought I would check and see if this is a common problem.

I thought I'd post a follow up to say that the pop has almost completely gone away. It seems that maybe it just needed to be clicked a few times to clean it out.

I've noticed so far that on my Subway rocket, if I'm playing while I change channels I will get a loud pop. If I stop playing, it will still pop, but not nearly as loud. I've tried different methods, like clicking both buttons (rhythm and contour) several times before coming out of standby.
