slaving amps together

can some one explain how to slave to amps together. does the amp that is being used as the power amp does it require a "dummy load" another speaker cabinet? and are there alot of problems associated with doing this?

You have an amp you like but it needs more power or for some reason you insist on mixing power tubes, so you slave it out to anther power amp...

All amps require a dummy load or speaker cabinet and you run your "master" amps slave out into the effects return of the "slave" amp so only its power section is used.
