single rectifier problem. help

I just bought a used single rectifier solo head and when i use it in high volume it makes a horrible tremolo noise in both channels. It doesnt get too loud neither. What you guys think the problem is? Thanks

I think you need to start by replacing all the tubes........

....or return it to whoever you bought it from and ask them to fix it

Are you sure you have a matched speaker load (ohms).

Motorboating, or a tremolo sound is usually mis-matched speaker impedance or bad power tubes.

Phase Inverter

Phase inverter is the last preamp tube in the sgnal chain, and it splits the signal going to the power tubes.
