I tried to do a search but no matter what I tried I got 3 trillion search results so I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

I recently got a Simul 395 and love it! It came with Ruby tubes, which don't do much for me. They sound kind of "hollow" if tha makes any sense. When I relaced them with JJs (my favorite)... they don't fit. Apparently JJs are made taller now and they stick up over the top.

Is there a comparable tube that I can use? Something like a JJ in tone (glassy high end and tight low end) but not so tall?

I'm not looking to hunt high and low for some easter egg made in 1942 or anything but something easily and readily available. If the answer is "no" then I will just run the 395 without the top but I'd prefer not to do it that way.

Thanks so much for any insights, I appreciate it!
