Well guess what? I had band rehearsal last night to, so I tried those settings thinking that I probably wouldn't like the results to much.
I had always assumed that Tremonti used some kind of TS808 boost for his distorted tones due to his tone being so fluid and it has that "easy to play" feel to it. Well these settings are most definitely his settings for sure. I was amazed how good this sounded. It was very fluid and as others have said, not flubby at all; insted its more thick. I use a Gibson LP Custom with a SD custom in the bridge and SD 59 in the neck so I did roll back the bass to 3:00 and treb to 1:00. I used those settings all night long.......I'm very pleased!
