Haven't done the bias pot yet because I'm still under warranty, but I did get tubes that raised my max plate dissipation to 70%. When my warranty is up, I will definitely be having an adjustable bias pot put in the amp. With a higher bias than the factory setting, I feel like the the notes are more dynamic. I have more tones at my disposal. And the notes are not as "congested." I also feel like the volume control on my guitar has more of an effect on my tone when playing with a higher than factory bias.

I've heard that when playing metal, one shouldn't opt for much - if any - power amp distortion as it will mush things up. Well, I tried playing metal with the stock bias but found the mush and stiffness were very difficult to work with.

A buddy of mine bought two bias kits for our roadsters. Waiting on them to get here next week. I'll let you know how it goes. It might help a little or it might not. We will see.
