Greetings,

Just received a Roadster 2x12 cab I purchased on Ebay. Upon opening box, heard a thud.
Cabinet was unbalanced. Someone must have dropped it hard on end during shipping.
When I opened cab, discovered the magnet on one speaker had ripped off competely
and was loose in the cabinet (the thud). Both speaker frames had shifted and all
mounting screws were bent in same direction. So much for using it this weekend!
Haven't desoldered and tested the other speaker yet, but it may be trashed as well.
WTF are these guys thinking when they move this stuff? Gives new meaning to the
term Drop-Shipped.

At least I have a new end table!

Thanks UPS

Sounds like some pretty abusive shipping tactics to cause that much damage.

The shipper insured package for purchase price. I tested the other speaker and it
appears to be ok, even though the frame & screws are bent. Tightened it up
and removed damaged speaker. I couldn't believe how light the frame was
without the magnet. Felt like 8oz. These are Celestion G12 Vintage 30's. No
wonder the frame bent. The magnet weighs 10 times the rest of the structure!
Just filed a damage claim with UPS....
