Could someone describe the difference in tone between a RKII and a Mark IV. I do love my RKII but I feel some tones are missing.

This has been done to death in the past.. I'm sure you can dig up some threads about it.

But to address your question, what in particular do you feel you can't get?

Get both. Running both of these mothers when the power tubes are getting loose is tonal bliss.

And I thought I was through buying amps for awhile. Dont worry, this is crossing my mind.

I just purchased a used Triaxis -- again (for a great price)...I am going to use it with my RK II...it will be switched in and out of the circuit with a Switchblade GL.

I don't really like taking two amps to a gig...most have small stages...The Triaxis will be used for all my Mark lead tones.

It will be interesting mating the progressive linkage with the Triaxis.
