Last week I was carping about my ordered combo not sounding good compared to the head and cab my nephew bought. After consulting with Mesa, new preamp tubes were installed using all the "special" preamp tube (I can't remember the name). I brought it home and was playing it, sounded pretty good, then I noticed the loop bypass wasn't on...instant improvement! I'm guessing the shop doesn't know that there's that much difference with the loop bypassed. :roll:
