Time to retube my rev F ( perfect timing AMIRITE!?) and I’m just curious what everyone here likes, and to share what I’ve liked.
For my tastes, TAD 6L6s seem to be fantastic, but I believe these are the same tubes Mesa uses as well? Could be wrong on that one. For V1 in the preamp, I’m digging a TAD high grade 7025 ( fantastic) or a genelex 12ax7. If I go Mesa power tubes for the power amp, what should I go for? I have a set of STR 440s lying around, I’ve never tried them though, though I do believe they are fantastic in the rev F’s from what I’ve heard. Thanks!
