Guys, I got back from the local Mesa dealer after trying out a few of the Rectoverbs brethren and thought...."what else is in here for sounds" Basically what happened was that my friend at the store pointed out that most of my favorite guitarists probably don;t "scoop" their mids like I do....So that being said, I experimented.

To make a long story short...With my Les Paul or Dean Sarasota (double cut LP copy), I was getting big fat notes and honky rhythms. This was spurred by someone asking if you can get Satch sounds from an ROV....
Well yes you can... 8)

BTW This will work with the Modern mode also.

Vintage mode with 6L6's:
Gain 1:00
Treble: 10:30
Mid: 1:00
Bass: 11:00
Presence: 10:30
Reverb: 11:00
Channel: 9:00
Output: 10 thru 1 depending on who else is home

Cool
I run the mids on my roadster pretty high too and love the tone better than scooped. Everyone should try, too many guitarists play with way too scooped tone these days...to get the real sound of the guitar and more of a classic/vintage tone, you must crank the mids!
