just got a new rectoverb head and 2x12, and was wanting some good settings you guys are using , so give me anything you got , clean , metal rock , jazz thanks

output 12 oclock, bass 10-11, mid 11 oclock, treeble 1 oclock, presence 12 oclock, gain 1 oclock, master vol 12 oclock and in front of the mesa a maxon od808 MEETAL!!!!

There is this French guy on youtube who gets a tremendous overdrive sound from his Single...these are the settings he sent me...I've tried them and they sound wonderful for hard rock.

Modern mode. Settings : Gain 1 o'clock Presence: 1 o'clock Middle : 12 o'clock Treble : 11 o'clock Bass 12 o'clock.
Volume : 9 o 'clock Master : 8 o'clock

This thread could be cool. come on ROV owners help us out. I need inspiring so I don't flog my ROV and get a mark.....

For my rockin out live in a small club tone

Vintage mode

these are o'clock settings

Gain 2
Treble 1
Mid 2
Bass 12
Presence 1 (may need to be adjusted depending on room)
Master to stage volume
Output 12

Vintage mode:

Gain: 1.30
Treble: 1
Bass: 12
Mid: 7.30
Presence: 12
Reverb: 2 (if used)
Master: 9
Output: 11

I somehow prefer to crank the output more and set the master volume lower but some guys like the other way round.

For in my room:

vintage mode:
Gain: 1-2
Treble: 2
mid: 11
bass: 12
presence: 10
reverb: 1
master: 9
output: loud as possible, mostly just below 9

6L6 tubes, mix gain at full (doesn't really make a difference). Stock C90 speaker, two v30 in oversized cab. Les paul loaded with SD SH-6 "distortion"

For me the best compromise between rythem and lead altogether at the moment.

Heh Guys

great settings. I'm having a great time over hear testing them out. Having to try hard to ignore the knocking and flashing blue lights though!!!

I've done the Loop mod now and just testing out playing with a graphic eq in the loop. using the classic mesa v. on an MXR eq with settings as follows
O'clock setting
vintage
gain 1
treble 3
mid 11
bass 11
pres 1
master 10
output 11

it sounds rude. best sound I've had. still not as tight as the dc-3 but kick in the eq and one hell of a great sound. Only having to change channel now for really really clean stuff.

cleans is the area I like
o'clock
gain 10
treble 2
mid 11
bass 1
Pres 10-30
Mast 10
Pushed with output around 12

I then use Guitar volume and tone to create every cool sound. I run the treble right down to 8 for jazz with a big bodied hollow. Also use a treble boost (hbe) to get first level of drive. It's always been channel two that I've struggled with :?: :?:
