recti preamp & palmer pga 05

i very happy to find this forum!
my english is not good. so plz understand~
i'll do my best!

i link recti preamp live out to plamer pga 05.
when i read the plamer manual, they said "Preamp/Multi-effect Units and PGA-05. The LINE/SPKS switch should be set to LINE"
so i've been use like this.
But i couldn't increase output until at 8:30 or 8:00.
Caz over at 8:30, i can see pick level.

but today i accedently push switch set to SPKS.
so i colud increase output to 12:00 or 1:00.
there is no difference sound between LINE and SPKS.
if i use like this, is it alright to preamp & palmer?

There's no way you could damage the Rectifier recording preamp no matter how you wire the outputs, since there is no speaker load or real power being sent to the palmer.
