Quick recto pre question - squealing issue

Noticed something interesting on my Recto pre today... when I have nothing plugged into either the front or back input, it sends a high pitched squeal through the power amp. However, as soon as I plug something in, the squealing stops. Anybody noticed this before? Any ideas on how to fix?

Nevermind... self diagnosed the issue... had a potential buyer come by to check out the amp, and he set all the gain + tone + presence pots on C1 to max. Dialing 'em back down made the squeal go away.

Interesting to note, though, that the sound of the BRIT mode on the Recto pre with all the knobs maxxed IS pretty cool.
