Questions about sending my amp to mesa for repair...

Alright so my bassist took a hard turn in his car today and made my amp (Mark iv) fall over in the back of his car breaking one of the knobs. Regardless i was going to send my amp to mesa because there a small under layer of break up on the clean (even at low volumes) really noticable on the combo and not so noticable in a 4x12 basically I want them to look at it...fix whatever the problem is...and replace the knob was wondering how much it would cost? Also i heard if you send them your amp with sed winged c's it voids warranty but i dont have warranty..Stupid question they will still work on the amp though right?
