I've wanted a bit more oommph on the drive channel for a while but havent been bothered to mess around with it for a bit.
Got a few different 12ax7's sitting about and finally got around to swapping out v1 for a Rocket Tubes Nitrous high gain tube ( yes I am a sucker for something with a little rocket on the label ) - anyway, much to my surprise it has worked! :shock: Sounds great to my ears, I'm very pleased!
Anybody got any other recommendations for similar high gain preamp tubes?
