I've never tried or knowingly heard one of these ... what do they sound like compared to the Mark series?
 
I think you're right on that one - the table width and green stools are a dead giveaway; the hacked up description text sure doesn't help, either.

they're in between the scooped mark sound and the ultra bass heavy stuff you hear on some recordings nowadays...It's kind of hard to describe unless you've played a recto before. If you've played a recto before, the sound is much tighter, creamier, and organic, not to mention clearer. No fizz. It also plays leads very well, though not as well as a Mark.
