If your Power Tubes are new, the glue that holds the glass to the base will smell pretty strong. I have popped in new power tubes and when really cooking them, they smell very strongly. It may be only this. Pull a power tube and give it a good sniff. You should be able to tell right away. After a few hours the odor should pass. Let us all know...
