Please help answer my easy question

Hey guys i have 2 mesa's a dual head and a nomad 55 1x12 combo. When i hook up my nomad 1x12 combo to my 4x12 cab do i turn the speaker off on the combo? Its got a switch that allwos me to. Sorry for such a dumb question but i am unsure. Thanks in advance to all that reply

It depends on what the Impendence of the speaker is. If it's 8 ohms and you're going to be using an 8 ohm extention cab, you will want to run each speaker out of the 4 ohm Speaker Output jacks due to the amp seeing an overall 4 ohm load. That's if you want to leave the speaker hooked up.

If you're just wanting to run the extention cabinet by it's self, disconnect the speaker's jack from the back of the amp if you can or use that switch that you mentioned in your earlier post. Then hook the cabinet up.
