That is the case but the guys at Anderson arent metalheads. If you gain out a recto you will kill the tone zone Tom shoots for.

I have seen the recto that they used to use to test amps. Tom said the gain was never above 11 or so....that let the pickup drive the amp hard.

He doesnt make gear for metalheads.

Designed to work with a rec? yup....designed for cookie monster rockers? nope
