Bottle rocket posted these on the Vintage forum:
I tried the Lone Star settings; both very good for me. The ch 1 settings was a little bright with my Parker; the ch 2. is the closet I've heard to Mark-ish type of lead sound.
Two interesting things;
1) the ch 1 setting is not super, super loud. Do you think this is because he's sending the Lone Star through a power amp? Because he's miked?
2) the ch 2 setting is noisier than I'm used to from the LSC. Not unbearable especially given how loud the setting is but still audible. Would somebody give it a try and see if that's their experience?
Petrucci just updated his site and the gear section includes his exact settings for his two Mark IVs and his Lonestar. There's a ton of other stuff running through them, but it could be interesting for those looking for the Petrucci sound.
