From my understanding..

Thiele cabs are tailor designed around the specifications of a particular driver..

Which speaker were the 12" Boogie Thiele's designed for?

I've seen them loaded with many different drivers.. Were there custom options on the drivers supplied by the factory? and if so was the cab tuned to suit?

If not I suppose they wouldn't technically be Thiele cabs..

Though if it sounds good I guess it doesn't matter!

You'd have to ask Mesa this question. You are right technically if it is not the correct driver it is then just a ported reflex cabinet.

I believe the original design was tailored around the EVM 12L. I've only used the Thiele's with EVM's so I can't comment on how any other speakers sound. But the EV sounds freaking GREAT in the cab.

Yep. Now they sell them with Custom 90s.
