Hey!

Some of my pedals, like the new Boss SDE-3 or DM-2w seem to be causing a weird problem when plugged in the fx loop(modded to serial) of my RoV 50.
I got the same issue when I plugged my main board with it, which has a Source Audio Collider and EQ2 going into the FX loop. This board is normaly used with my Fillmore 50.
When they are plugged in, they kind of choke the first notes played, and the delays sounds accordingly with some weird artifacts too. Older pedals like the DD-2, DD-3, DSD-2,
or other pedal like the Diamond Memory Lane Jr work fine. Other pedals like the Boss CH-1 sounds fine too.

I'm wondering if it'a a buffer issue(old vs new) maybe? Any people here experienced that?

Thanks!

I can't explain the electronics, but Mesa's older manuals are pretty sniffy about using 'pro-quality' outboard FX instead of 'cheap pedals', and I found the loops on both my ToV and the RoV I used to own to be gigantic pains in the ass with pedals. EQD DIspatch Master, EQD Ghost Echo, Chase Bliss Wombtone (!!!), and Red Panda Context all seemed to have level problems leading to distortion and glitching that I couldn't sort out. OBNE Mondegreen worked fine. Every TC pedal I've tried worked fine, vintage Maxon AD900 and current production MXR Carbon Copy and 10-band EQ work fine.

Ok, thanks for the reply. Have you ever try one of those Morley's Loop Corrector thingy?

I only use my TOV for recording so I do most fx in post, but that seems like a good thing to try if you need it to work
