I may be getting involved in an 80's hair band without all the hair and need an economical way to get that sound. I'll be using a DC-10 into a 2x12 cabinet. Guitars are PRS Custom 24, Dean USA Hardtail and maybe a Strat. The overdrive pedals I have to work with are Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet, Xotic AC + and a Luxury Clean Boost. Time based effects all come from my Roctron Xpressions.
I have not tried to work with what I have yet and am looking for some suggestions. I typically go for more of a classic rock overdrive sound and not the super processed, heavy distorted sounds of some of the cool 80's stuff. Do you think I can get what I'm looking for with current setup or is there a pedal you could suggest?
