Hey out there...anyone using P-90's w/ the Stiletto?
I've got a deal workin' for a LP loaded w/ P-90's and wondered how they would sound with my Ace. Anybody running this setup out there, and what can I look for?

Thanks in advance....

Wicked good. I've got a hamer special w/90's & ace combo running a 4x12 cab. I've dialed in some great rock/shred/punk tones. seems much more harmonic/chimey than my Epi with humbuckers which I just took out of storage. The Epi does not sound bad mind you just different. I'm having alot of fun dialing in new tones with it as the hamer is in the shop getting a check up.

We have a Hamer Taladega with Phat Cat P90's here in the store, and it sounds CRAZY through the stiletto. The high end of the P90's really sizzle through the Deuce, but it's not so hairy that it'll make your ears bleed. Take a super dynamic pickup like a P90 and put it through an equally dynamic amplifier, and it's just insane what tones you can coax out of it. I tend to roll the treble down on the stiletto's and bump the presence up instead, and that keeps it from getting harsh.

My settings for P-90's on the Deuce is like this:

Channel 1: Fat Clean
Gain: 12 o'clock
Treble: 10 o'clock
Mid: 10 o'clock
Bass: 3 o'clock (I like a big bass sound for my cleans)
Presence: 11-1 o'clock

Channel 2: Fluid Drive
Gain:
Treble: 8-9 o'clock
Mid: 1-3 o'clock
Bass: 11-1 o'clock
Presence: 10-12 o'clock

Adjust to taste, but these are how I like it to sound!

Thanks for the input, guys. Anybody else out there? Let me hear...more info is always good!!
Most of what I know about p-90's comes from older guitars I no longer own, like LP Jr. '66 Epi Casino, and an old mid-60's SG. Lotsa bite and snarl especially w/ the Junior. Mainly wondering if it's too much given how agressive the Ace can sound with certain settings.

Thanks again...
