Messing around with tones on a three channel pre-50,000 ( thats a joke) triple rectifier and noticed under the rectifier selector switch on the back of the head reads... FOR TUBE RECTIFIER BEST TO USE EL-34'S. Dont they all come with 6l6's ?? If it is indeed BEST to use el-34's ( I have no opinion for the sake of this post), Shouldnt they COME with el-34's?? Also, it seems some popular mods are changing the pot values of the prescence and switching the loop series/parallel. Why not make those switchable too??

other way around. if you're using EL34's it's suggested to run the amp with tube rectifiers.

Yep.

EL34s run at a hotter bias, and unless you get a rugged brand of EL34s (*cough* JJ E34Ls *cough*), running them on diodes may make them run too hot.
