Does anyone elses ED seem noisy as hell when taken off standby in 45 watt mode? Clean, lo, or hi- seems as soon as I stop playing, there is quite a bit of hissy white noise....anyone else?
How to take it down a notch?
Comments welcome....not looking to change the tonality- just cut some noise...
Thanks in advance-

Preamp tubes, see this post: http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=42079

Hasn't happened in a long time but I know the white noise you are talking about. And not just on the ED, every Mesa I have every owned, (Road King, Mark IV and ED).

It's definately a preamp tube.

My ED did it a couple times but then just stopped.

Ok- It is definately related to the effect loop- I now need to determine if it is the loop itself, or my eventide pedals themselves.....they are the only thing in the loop.....
