Two problems here:
1) There's this 'static' sound coming from my amp. I'm thinking it's the 50/50 power amp though and not the quad, I'm not sure. It has this weird 'crinkle' sound to it, like someone is handling a bag of Ruffles chips . I can't quite put my finger on it but the only way I can compare it is that there used to be this bad static sound on my PC soundcard. I'd have to get up and touch the back of it to make the static sound stop. Just imagine rubbing a speaker wire onto a speaker's input jack.
2) Hum. Guitar>Quad>50/50>Stiletto cab. Nothing too fancy, but I've got hum when recording. How do people usually quiet down their racks? I'm using this mainly for recording, so getting rid of some of his hum is going to be necessary. This is going to be especially true since I'm planning on putting a boost pedal in front of the Quad. So it'll be Guitar>Boost>Quad>50/50>Stiletto cab. That'll most likely make it a bit noisier, even.
