I've decided to just keep my Ace... delete thread please!

Why? I changed my strings on my JP (been about 2 months since last time i changed 'em), put the amp on bold (usually run it in spongy) and turned it up a little louder than usual (the wife is not home and the neighbor next door moved out) and WOW! I was loving what I was hearing... can't bare to get rid of it so i'm keeping it!

Jeez, Adam. Your going to have to put a "gone but not forgotten" at the bottom of your sig like me  I think there will be enough room.

Good luck with finding a Duece.

:D At least i'm staying in the Stiletto family! My 'gone but not forgotten' list would be twice as long as yours! Haha. That's a good idea though.

WOW...MusicMan!!! You haven't had your Ace very long have you? But I'm glad your staying in the Stiletto family. I have to agree w/ you at least a little; if I was going to upgrade or replace my Ace I would certainly be looking at a Deuce. I played w/ one at GC a while back and they're cool units... 8) .

Anyway, good luck in your quest. Also, I can't ever thank you enough for pushing me towards an Ace like some of your posts did. I can't believe how stoked I am EVERY time I turn this rascal on...it's just unbelievable  .....Cheers!

What's making you want the deuce now? Would hooking up your ace to a 2x12 accomplish the same thing?

Saw a couple of people on Craigslist looking for trades Deuece for Ace. Doubt you'll be able to get a head and cab for a straight up trade. Kinda steep.

Oh i know - i'm expecting to have to fork over some extra for the cab. I'll check out craigslist, but unless they're close by there's no way i'm shipping my Ace to a stranger. I believe in charity and all, but.......

EDIT: Didn't find any craigslist ads wanting to trade... ?

Hmmmm

I'm not looking for an Ace... but if you want a Deuce II we might be able to work something out. I want to get a Bogner XTC. My Deuce is mint! Not a scratch! It is the standard black croc and the leather smells amazing. Sound is pretty good too but I'm a GAS "o" Haul LICK! LOL!!! :) I'm not sure what the going rate is in the US but I'm sure if we correspond we can come up with a price that is fair and works for both of us. We can find out what the shipping cost is and then see.

Hey, shipping is going to be a little more than in the US, but depending on the price you give me we might be able to work something out. I'd have to sell my Ace first though - that's the only problem... I've not had any hits on it yet.

Will sell for $1300 shipped. I bought it new on eBay (and as a result the warranty was instantly voided!!) and have only had it for a few months - about 3 months to be exact.

why did buying on ebay instantly void the warranty? I thought they were transferable and it passed on to the next owner? Or how would mesa know where you bought it anyway?

The store was selling the brand new Stiletto amp on eBay as used (due to contractual agreements)... and when Mesa asked for proof of purchase I sent them an invoice from Zone Music. They asked if I bought it online and I said 'yes'. Had I known it would void the warranty I would have fibbed! The store assumed the warranty would be intact and full and ended up speaking to their rep about it with no luck on a pardon this once. They offered to give me $150 and i'd be on my own for repairs down the road, or pay for the cost of repairs when needed for the next five years. I took the latter option. This of course is 'their word', but they were professional as they could be about it. I've emailed the store manager about continuing it's coverage even when i am not the owner, but he has not replied. I'm emailing his boss right now to see what he says. He always responds.

That's the story...
