New tubes for Triple Rec???

Iv got a second hand triple rec head that I bought in Sep 2009 for £1000
I think it has mesa stock tubes but its probably time for a retube, just to be on the safe side?
I play quite high gain hardcore/Metal stuff so what would be the best tube set to get?

I am really digging the TAD 6L6GC power tubes. The tone is alot fuller and warmer than with the stock Mesa STR440 tubes. For preamp tubes I recomend at least a few vintage tubes for the first 3 slots. I run an RFT in V1, an Sylvania long grey plate in V2 and a GE long grey plate in V3. All 3 of those are relatively cheap and all over Ebay. The Sovtek LPS also makes a GREAT V5 tube which I run. For my V4 i run vintage GE 12at7 military tube. It really brightens the tone with the loop engaged and makes it sound just agressive as with the loop bypassed.
