just got my mark v in the other day. its black with tan grill. i got it with the mesa logo instead of the boogie logo. serial number mk5#35(stoked on that!!) ill have pix in a day or two. i was using a roadster for the past 3 months as i was on the list for the mark, but had to tour and needed a head. the roadster sounded great but having been not so stoked on a triple rec i had a few years ago i was still not sold on the recto sound and it kept dying on me. the mark IIc+ channel is what i have been looking for all my life. this thing cuts through any back line. hint the name rectokiller, soon as this was ready my roadster was in a box on the way back to Petaluma. cleans are amazing and sparkle but this thing oozes gain and rock.

Thats great man, enjoy your amp!

I,ve been asking, and so far have,nt really gotten a solid answer but,

...whats your opinion on the solo/lead tones of the amp?

Are you able to get the legendary liquidy smooth, creamy, super sustaining Mark series lead tones with no probelm?

I,ve read in several different places now that this amp suffers in that particular area, and it has me alittle concerned. Thanks a bunch man!

great sustain all around. this thing covers all the tones you could want. i've been able to dial in some amazing tones and they just keep coming.

i get artist pricing. im not sure what it cost normally for extra cosmetics. if i told you what i got my head for in general someone around here might cut my ballz off  .

before 1 of you goes there, yes i know we are not listed on the mesa artist page, lots of bands who are mesa endorsers arent. im supposed to send em an artist pic. i just didnt want to until i got the mark.

ps
dont judge me by those tones, i was using krank on our first record which was done in a home studio. i hate these tones and recordings. : )

Tone wasn't bad, but I could have done without hearing the dude taking a piss as the intro to the song that comes up as soon as you hit the site. Don't even want to know how you guys intro that live!

LOLLLLLL. Primal is right though the tone isnt bad???

thanx for your comments. i loved that tone for 3 years but then i got bored with it, thats when i decided to make the switch to boogie. i do try and pride myself on being able to dial in a killer tone, which is why i wasnt suprised when somebody posted petrucci's settings, to find that they were almost dead on to my channel 3.

as far as how to get a artist deal, i still wonder myself how i did it. my former management set that up. with most endorsements its all about how many shows you play, as sales for records drop the number of shows are becoming even more important. we average between 175-250 a year depending.

and yes if its to loud your to old... just kidding don't feel old, youth lives in the rock.
