New cab, wrong ohmage? Help?!

I received my new 2x12 cab from Lopoline (it looks glorious) and decided I should open her up and check out the wiring before I plugged up the RV50. I asked them to wire it for 16 ohms, but it doesn't look right according to diagrams off the net. Reference:

2 8 ohm V30s, both with wires coming off their individual + and - terminals attached directly to the jack, similar to the "parallel" diagram. NO WIRES INTERCONNECTING THE TWO SPEAKERS AS SEEN IN THE DIAGRAM. So, do I have a 4 ohm 2x12?

This isn't good. I don't have a damned soldering gun.

if there are 2 8ohm speakers in your cab, then just wire them series (that's if they're not already done so).

They are currently wired in parallel, I just need to rewire them in series. However, it's the principle of the matter. Had I not opened it up and, instead, just plugged it in... my amp might very well be toast.

So I bought a cheap multimeter and a solder kit. The cab tests around 4 ohms, as I suspected. Lopoline = morons.

UPDATE!

I emailed them about their mistake. I quickly received a reply apologizing for the inconvenience and an offer to reimburse me for any costs incurred getting it properly rewired. In the meantime, I had figured out I could rewire it with the existing wires and clips with no soldering needed. I rewired it myself, tested it with the multimeter to ensure it was 16 ohms, plugged it up and have been rocking out ever since! Sounds great!

Today, I emailed them that I appreciated their offer and told them I had corrected the problem on my own. Tonight I received another email from Lopo... they refunded me $15 for my troubles and thanked me for being understanding! This is how a company should do things when they make a mistake.
