Need some help with a line mixer

I just got a Bogner Shiva, and while I love the amp, the effect loop sucks on ice. I was wondering if a Suhr Mini-Mix II would be the best way to go? I was also wondering if there was a less expensive alternative, like the small ART line mixer would work for somewhat like the Mini Mix.
Any help would greatly be appreciated!
