Need help...Stiletto .. bold/spongy

I'm bringing up an old post, but my new Stiletto just did the same thing. I've been playing it in spongy 50 watt at bedroom volumes at the volume began dropping further. I could play it a full volume in the bedroom - it was probably putting out less than 1 watt of power. I lowered the volume and switched to Bold and it was its normal, powerful self. I always use the SS rectifier, so I know it's not the rectifier tubes.

Did anyone ever get a satisfactory answer from Mesa on this issue?

Profklamen, My problem went away (at least for now) since I put in the new tubes. although I do not think that was the correct solution I'm ok for the time being as the symptoms have disappeared. It is definitely something VERY goofy.
