DSL100.jpg

I just picked it up yesterday afternoon a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL100 and
Marshall MC212 Cab. So far it seem pretty good. My ears are still adjusting to it but i like it more as i dail in the head. My buddy sold me the head for $600.00 and the head is just about brand new. So i ran out and picked up this cab for $299.00 to jam on. If i had the room i could of bought the full stack (1960A and a 900series cab) from my buddy. I am not sure if i should grab them or not since i don't play out anymore and room is a issue here. Over all i like it and gives me more tone options along with my Mark IV.

I like what i am hearing. 8)
For $600.00 i figure i could not go wrong. The cab is ok. Still need to break in the speakers. I think one day i may change them out but for now it will work for me.

Trust me if it wasn't for the price and it was helping a buddy out who need the cash badly i would of passed on it.
He also threw in mint Gibson LesPaul Special on top of that for $100.00
to get me to jump on that all for $700.00! (Guitar and Head)
It sounded good to me.

I'm Boogie for life brother! first and foremost. :D

dude, wtf kind of money trouble was he in??!!

good for you, though!

I repaired and modded a DSL100 for a friend of mine. I replaced the trannies with Mercury Magnetics, added a choke, did some tone stack mods and put some NOS El34's and 12ax7's in it and it sounded pretty good! I still prefer the Stilletto over it, but then again, my friend prefers Cornford's over Mesa's, and the DSL is just a studio tool for him....... :D

Yeah, I had to replace the OT w/ a MM as well in mine.

My friend needed to put up a privacy fence for his backyard and a little money for the casino! I was under the impression it was something more serious. Too funny but works out for me just dandy! I am not done with him yet there are a few more things i will get from him at a killer price. 8) Gibson LesPaul Studio, Dean Z and 2 Marshall 4x12 cabs(1960a and 900 series). I don't need the cabs but if i get them for nothing i will take them.

I got my 50W for $300. The guy wanted new pipes for his Harley...
**** dude nice score!

I don't much about how to do the mod's but am very interested in what i can do to this head. I 'll have to research some info. Not sure if you know John Nau of Nau Engineering the amp builder but he lives like 2 minutes from me. Maybe i'll stop in for a visit and see what he can do to it. This guy puts to together a mean amp. He also a Mesa Boogie authorized repair station. Nice to have him so close to me just in case something ever happen to my Boogies.

Dood! Outstanding score!
Hey fredster! what up brother!

Well i sold back the Marshall DSL100 and cab back to my buddy.

I played DSL for a few days and i like it but when i turned on my MarkIV...i knew i would never turn on the Marshall again.lol
I found a Mark III (red) in really nice shape for $600.00.
Almost thinking of picking it up with the money from the DSL.
Not sure though since i all ready have the Mark IV.
Maybe grab something for my Recto Pre.

Gassing to add another Boogie. 8)

Hey, that guitar is the same as mine, except I've changed the pickups. You will enjoy the coloration of the finish in three or five years of playing it. :)
