My LSC with 2 YJ 84'S mixed with two 6l6's. Equal = sick

Anyone here use just two YJ with any amp ?


My god its just sick. I love the 6l6 tone and feel so I didnt dig the LSS as much as I wanted so I tried this and its a sweeter clean and a crunchier channel 2 but with all that 6l6 still in there. Has anyone else done this ?

I haven't, but that's very interesting! Shall I assume you use the YJ el-84 by themselves in 50 watt mode?

Good ? I assume that as well but the clean i sweeter the gain a nice crunch but I am not sure its just the inside 84's ? Maybe mesa uses all 4 tubes in a way ? even in 50 watt

In 50 watt mode, only the 2 outside power tubes are being the used. There is no way the 2 inside tubes are in the circuit. Even Mesa Boogie says you can take out the 2 middle tubes when only using 50watt.

What kind of guitar are you using with the amp? I'd love to hear clips of the Yellow Jackets. I'm thinking of getting a pair.
