I would like to use a TrippLite surge suppressor, that I have lying around the house, to provide power for and protect my MKV [awaiting arrival any week now] and my effects. The suppressor lists its maximum load capability at 12 amps. I can sum the load ratings of my effects transformer's easily enough [Timefactor 0.25 amp input, Fulltone Clyde Wah 0.25 amp input] , but what is the load that my new MKV will place on the circuit?

I'm no electrical engineer but I do know that Power = Amperage x Voltage. Put another way Power/Voltage = Amperage. Therefore 90W/120V = 0.75 amps. This seems small for the "Godlike" sound [and heat generated] of the MKV. Is this correct?

How big is the fuse? It's probably 3 amps. That's how much juice you're drawing out of the wall. Be safe and double that.

My power conditioner measures .5 ampere increments. When I turn the Mark V on, it jumps up 1 ampere.

It appears that your measurement has confirmed my calculation. Does your power conditioner measurement change when you play?
