I've been reading the manuals for both the Mk IV and the Roadster. The Roadster 1x12 [1] seems to be VERY versatile. However, I don't know much about the Rectifier series but some have told me they are more of the compressed Metal sound; this is not for me; I'm a jazz/rock/blues player who needs an amp that can cover everything from straightahead rock to trio jazz.

Anybody A/B'd these two?

The recto tone and mark tone are very different.

Recto has a scooped mid nature with tremendous sag and has a looser feel to the distortion. The Mark IV is very midrange centric and has an insanely tight sounding distortion.

Both are good for different things, both are versatile, find the one that suits you better.
