Mesa Rect-O-Verb - will it really suit me?

I play Classic to Hard Rock and heavy metal and I've been looking around for a new amp. I found mesa and they look sweet. I'm watching a used Rect-O-Verb combo on ebay, but will the amp really suit me? Think Beatles to Hendrix to Thin Lizzy to Eddie Van Halen to ACDC to Oasis to Metallica to The Darkness (although I don't like to admit that one ).
Is this amp gonna be a success or a failure for me?

If you know how to dial it in and use your volume knob then, yes, it will suit you just fine. It's a versatile amp. Mine might be up for sale soon. Where are you located?

Oh hey dude! I thought this might be you. If you get a Mesa you need to stick around here. There's quite a bit of good info on here.

Good luck finding your next amp. I really do like my Rectoverb combo, but GAS is a biatch! The Mark V is calling my name...

I personally do not like the Express series amps at all... decent cleans though...
